But not her secrets

The clock with ticking seems to be obsessed
Emergency, emergency it barks
Tick tick tick tick tick tick until the crash
To find meaning now one needs a hammer
one needs a suitcase for what will be left
clap your hands in time with the ticking clock
This is fine, this is fine, everything’s fine
A Grecian urn would tell you beauty stays
The moon makes different faces every night
And our faces, kept in our purses, stay put.

We were all speaking in loud trumpet sound
Hand-in-hand around, each heart in accord
Spying on the ground each sign of discord
Parcing every word of each fact we found
Then speaking them forth–opposing unsound
Notions that abounded among cohorts
The whole world around, formidable force
That might change the course in ways quite profound.
We blend in Masses like fish in the sea
Reporting the clashes and sharing the news
Of subsequent waves of each Victory
A bright, shining star arise from our views
Then we have smooth sailing forth from this Time
Driving to deliver our final rhyme.
